Program Description

Japan Culture Camp by JCYFA is a cultural learning program designed to give an understanding on culture and social awareness since 2019. This program enables participants to learn about Japanese culture in line with making a friend directly. This program is also an avenue to enhance knowledge and skill to face globalization. This is not student exchange, but youth and cultural exchange exposure program.

Activities

How does the Japan Culture Camp will work?

1.Participants will depart from China Unity.

2.The camp will combine sense of friendship, adventure and cultural awareness.

3.Participants will live for 6 days in Tokyo and Hokkaido, Japan.

4.The camp needs participants who passionate in international 5.friendship and adapt new environment (culture differences) easily.

Japanese cultural camp location

This training camp will be held in Tokyo and Hokkaido. Both cities are famous cultural cities in Japan. Participants in the program will have the unique opportunity to experience the fairytale land of Hokkaido, where snow falls. We hope this program will inspire young people to pursue adventurous and productive careers and contribute to the advancement of science.

Accommodation and food during the camp

During the summer camp, campers will be accommodated in hotels of high quality standards. The hotels are in very good living conditions, clean and tidy, and ideally located. Men and women are accommodated separately. In order to enrich the Japanese culture (daily life of Japanese people), all campers will visit the city by public transportation (train and bus) during the trip.

Japan is known for its delicious and healthy food. Who doesn't know about sushi, ramen, udon, etc.? Breakfast will be served along with lunch and dinner during the trip. There are many amazing restaurants in Tokyo and Hokkaido, so program staff will be able to point you in the right direction if you want to dine out occasionally.

Starting time and duration of the Japanese Culture Summer Camp

Pre-departure activities: One-week Japanese language course (online course)

The Japanese Culture Camp will begin on January 29, 2024 (arrival at Narita International Airport) and end on February 5, 2024. Participants will start the program from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day (Day 2 to Day 5). In the evenings, participants will be free to explore Tokyo and Hokkaido.
